John Edwards may have put a $400 hair cut on his campaign tab, but at least he didn't pick a Celine "The Canadian Nightmare" Dion tune for his campaign song...
Cover your ears and hide the children before you watch this:
I'm all for free speech but that shit should be outlawed. I'd rather listen to the best of Michael Bolton on REPEAT. Even more disturbing is that Celine beat out U2 and Tina Turner in the campaign song contest! What are you Hillary supporters thinking???
WORST CAMPAIGN SONG EVER!

Poll Finds American Optimism at a New Low!
I ran across a story fresh out of the "No Shit Department" on AOL earlier today that points out just how grim Americans are feeling about the future.
It goes on to point out the obvious, such as how women and minorities are much less happy with the state of the country than are...well, white men.
But the funniest part of the article is the section about those who actually think the country is on the RIGHT PATH.
Hahaha! Big shocker there eh? Now where did I see a bunch of guys like that recently? Oh yea, at the Republican candidates debate...
Ten Rich White Men
It reminds me of the old bumper sticker...
Only 25 percent of those surveyed say things in the U.S. are going in the right direction, according to an AP-Ipsos poll this month. That is about the lowest level of satisfaction detected since the survey started in December 2003.

But the funniest part of the article is the section about those who actually think the country is on the RIGHT PATH.
Those who think the U.S. is heading in the right direction tend to be white male Republicans in strong financial situations who say they sense a solid economy and are satisfied with the country's leadership. "I feel like despite the nation's problems, we're going to work our way through them and be better, stronger for it," said Robert Beard, 49, of California, a programmer for a bank.

Max Cleland lays the SMACKDOWN
Max Cleland laid out Dick "Deferment" Cheney on CNN's The Situation Room the other day. It's a must watch!
From the CNN transcript:(emphasis mine)
One other minor thing occurred to me after viewing this.
You know those comparisons of Dick Cheney to Darth Vader?
I CALL BULLSHIT!
Darth Vader actually fought in the Clone Wars.
Darth Cheney would have asked for a deferment due to a broken lightsaber.
From the CNN transcript:(emphasis mine)
BLITZER: Senator, if you could sit down with the vice president and have a direct one-on-one meeting with him, what would you say to him?
CLELAND: Where the hell were you in the Vietnam War?
If you had have gone to Vietnam like the rest of us, maybe you would have learned something about war. You can't keep troops on the ground forever. They've got to have a mission. They've got to have a purpose. You can't keep sending them back and back and back with no mission and no purpose.
As a matter of fact, the real enemy is al Qaeda. It's al Qaeda -- stupid. It's not in Iraq. That's why we have to withdraw the ground forces there, settle Iraq with a diplomatic solution and go after al Qaeda.
That's what we should have been doing for the last four years.
Instead, this administration and this vice president and this president wants to send more troops to Iraq. Unbelievable.

Obama's got a brand new....brand?
Barack Obama, in addition to making his run for the Presidency "official" yesterday, also unveiled a brand new website with all sorts of new graphics and features . But I was immediately struck by the rather unique strange logo he has chosen.
Looks to be a sun rising over an American flag. And it's also in the shape of an "O". Very modern and sophisticated. Not bad.
But the image also struck me as looking very, shall we say, corporate. In fact, it began to look rather familiar the longer I gazed at it.
And then it hit me.
I HAVE seen this before!
Doh!
Now I don't know if this qualifies trademark infringement by the Obama campaign. But before any lawsuits take place I truly hope I get the chance to ask Senator Obama this one pressing question...
"Can I get an order of fries with that campaign button?"
